About Hemp Oil.  Our Hemp oil is ideal for bare wood or Milk painted surfaces.  It revives, conditions, and protects wood for a beautiful natural finish. While Hemp Oil can be applied to Fusion in a very small amount if wanting to achieve a bit of sheen, we would rather encourage the use of our other top-coats. Because Hemp Oil does not have any resin in it, and may act as a resist to applying Fusion Mineral Paint in the future.  However, if your desire is to slightly increase the sheen, and you are firm on your decision of paint color, then applying a very thin coat of Hemp Oil over Fusion Mineral Paint is perfectly fine.

This oil will darken and richen the wood with a soft luster. Generally the older the wood, the more it will darken it. This will vary based on the type of wood and the age of the wood. It is highly recommended to try a small amount on an area to find out how your project will look with this application.   Used inside, this food-safe oil finish is perfect to use in the kitchen on wooden cutting boards, wooden utensils or stone. Also provides a wonderful finish for flooring.   It penetrates to protect from the inside out. This oil does not leave a surface film that will chip or scratch.   The oil will feel dry to the touch one day after the initial application, however complete drying can be several days, and curess up to 30 days.

This oil is great for those that suffer from chemical sensitivities and cannot use solvent based products. Our Hemp Oil has a smell reminiscent of crushed walnuts, and is environmentally friendly locally produced oil with no additives or preservatives.

This Hemp Oil is different than the edible oil bought from health food stores only insofar as we have put the oil through a process which allows the oil to completely dry on its own, without the use of added solvents or chemical driers.

Coverage.  Covers approximately 80 square feet. Coverage will vary taking into consideration what the oil is being applied to. For example, a previously oiled surface will require very little oil, where as bare wood will require more.

How to apply.  Try on inconspicuous area to test for desired results. Pour or brush onto surface and let sit until wood is saturated. For old, dry wood, leave overnight before removing excess and give a slight buff. For moderately porous surfaces, leave 10-15 minutes before removing excess.  If too much oil initially applied, then small amounts of oil may rise over the first few days. This can be avoided by wiping the excess away with a cloth. If used on a floor during this time it is recommended to place some cardboard pieces where there will be a lot of foot traffic. Dirty shoes should be kept off for at least two weeks.

Number of Coats.  1-3, allowing 2 hours between coats. Can apply a Fusion wax on top of Hemp Oil for additional protection. TIP: 16 fl oz – Covers approximately 80 square feet

Maintenance.  Apply a coat every other year, or as needed.

Clean up.  Soap and water.

Dry and Cure Time.  24 hours it will feel dry to touch (apply in clean/dust free environment.)  Cure time is 30 days.
